How Sturgeon uses cookies
Cookies and similar browser storage help the website remember your choices and, when you allow it, help us understand how the public website is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Necessary cookies
These support account security, sign-in sessions, and your saved cookie preference. They are required for features you request and cannot be switched off through the consent banner.
Optional analytics cookies
If you choose “Accept analytics,” Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies. Sturgeon also creates a random first-party browser identifier, hashes it before storage, and uses it to count unique browsers, page views, broad device category, and first and most recent visits. It is not a hardware identifier, advertising ID, IP address, or precise location.
Choosing “Necessary only” prevents Google Analytics from loading and removes Sturgeon's optional browser identifier from that browser.
Change your choice
You can reopen the consent banner at any time. Clearing browser data may also reset your choice and produce a new identifier if you later accept analytics again.
