For park systems, watersheds, and Great Lakes organizations

Join the network without giving up your voice.

Sturgeon is the shared consumer network. Partners remain the official source for their places and programs, gain a direct channel to nearby residents, and can add deeper services as their needs grow.

Talk about partnership

The operating model

One Great Lakes network. Many official publishers.

Sturgeon owns the network experience and the relationship with the person using it. A partner owns the official content it publishes. A dedicated app, when purchased, is a branded distribution of that shared system. It does not take ownership of the parks catalog, member accounts, or the wider network.

An official voice

Publish verified stories, programs, events, notices, park information, challenges, and badge collections under your organization’s identity.

Local reach

Reach people who live near, visit, and move through your service area without turning the shared Great Lakes network into a closed territory.

Participation you can prove

Measure views, visits, activity, challenge participation, badge completions, and program interest through privacy-protected reporting.

Operational communication

Put trail conditions, closures, program changes, and time-sensitive updates in a channel residents choose to use.

Community programs

Invite park photo submissions, run movement and stewardship challenges, and recognize participation without opening comments or public threads.

A platform that travels

Your content remains yours while Sturgeon gives residents one passport and one account that works across Great Lakes communities.

A clear path in

Organizations participate at the level that fits.

01

Included in the network

Catalog presence

Every qualifying Great Lakes park system can be represented in Sturgeon, whether or not it is a customer. Residents can discover the system and its parks, and the organization can later claim its existing record instead of starting over.

02

For active organizations

Network Partner

A verified partner receives a staff workspace, official publisher identity, content and program tools, moderation, measurement, and approved access to local sponsored placements inside Sturgeon.

03

When the brand needs its own front door

Dedicated app

A dedicated iOS and Android app can be added for an organization that purchases one. It uses the same accounts, parks, publishing model, safety systems, and Great Lakes infrastructure rather than creating a disconnected product.

Partner sponsorships

Sell the relationship. Buy the delivery.

Partners can package sponsorship around their own eligible challenges, events, park pages, badge programs, and approved feed campaigns. Sturgeon does not take a percentage of the partner's sale. The partner purchases the needed placement from a private, predetermined partner catalog, chooses its own sponsor price, and keeps the spread.

Inventory remains shared by market, so a partner is buying measured delivery rather than a private audience. Sturgeon preserves network capacity, prevents overselling, applies frequency and density limits, and keeps safety and closure messages free from sponsored treatment.

How a partner campaign moves

1

Register

Name the sponsor opportunity before it is sold so the relationship is protected and visible to the right teams.

2

Choose

Select the market, placement, flight dates, and amount of delivery from the private partner inventory catalog.

3

Purchase

Sturgeon calculates a fixed partner delivery price and reserves available inventory. The partner decides what to charge its sponsor and keeps the difference.

4

Approve

The advertiser signs the insertion order and Sturgeon reviews the creative, destination, audience fit, and category rules before anything runs.

5

Measure

Every eligible impression and interaction carries campaign, placement, market, publisher, and originator attribution for a clear completion report.

Built-in boundaries

Reach without a walled garden.

No territory purchase

More than one public-interest organization can serve the same community.

No separate ad stack

Network and dedicated apps use the same inventory, approval, and measurement system.

No hidden delivery

Every sponsored exposure is attributed and measured against its approved campaign.

No automatic creative access

Partner-sold campaigns still meet Sturgeon content, category, safety, and accessibility standards.

Sturgeon and Whole Atlas

Local authority. Shared infrastructure. A stronger Great Lakes network.

Sturgeon is part of the Whole Atlas family, pairing public-facing participation with durable place intelligence and deidentified community learning.
